About

Gabrielle Reith graduated from Gray’s School of Art in 1998 and has since built a successful and dynamic career in the arts. In 2006, after becoming a mother, Gabrielle’s artistic focus evolved from oil painting to illustration, leading to the creation of her brand, Small Stories. Through her distinctive drawings and illustrations, she crafts fun, engaging, and highly sought-after products ranging from apparel, wooden decorations, printed materials and books.

Gabrielle’s work thoughtfully explores themes of childhood, place, language, environment, and politics. Her creative vision has attracted commissions from prominent Scottish institutions such as Aberdeen Art Gallery, the DCA, Aberdeen Performing Arts, Iona Craft Shop, and the National Trust for Scotland, among others. Additionally, she has contributed freelance illustrations to publications and events across the country.

Deeply committed to ecological and ethical values, Gabrielle ensures her work is produced in the UK using environmentally friendly techniques. Her creations are available through several Scottish stockists and primarily via her website: gra-small-stories.co.uk.
